Audio Format Tags

Media content encoded with the Windows Media Audio codecs is identified using the audio format tags in the following table.

Audio format tag	Description
0x161	Used to identify Windows Media Audio 9 encoded content.
0x162	Used to identify Windows Media Audio 10 Professional encoded content.
0x163	Used to identify Windows Media Audio 9 Lossless encoded content.
0x00A	Used to identify Windows Media Audio 9 Voice encoded content.
