System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement Namespace Overview
System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement is a namespace in the Microsoft .NET Framework that provides uniform access and manipulation of security principals across multiple principal stores. The stores include Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS), and Machine SAM (MSAM). System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement manages directory objects independent of the System.DirectoryServices namespace.
