Product Installed Rule
The Product Installed MSI rule in System Center Updates Publisher is used when creating or modifying software update definitions. It is used primarily as a prerequisite type rule. The specified Windows Installer information about the product is verified with what is found on a scanned computer. If the rule does not pass verification, the software update is considered not needed on the computer. The Product Installed rule has the following configuration settings:
Product Code: Specifies the GUID for a specific product release. This is a required field.
Maximum Version: Specifies the maximum version for the Windows Installer file. This is an optional field.
Minimum Version: Specifies the minimum version for the Windows Installer file. This is an optional field.
Language: Specifies the language for the file. This is an optional field.
