Updates Publisher Console

The System Center Updates Publisher console contains a start page, four console panes, and a search filter, each described in the following sections.

In This Section

  • Updates Publisher Start Page
    Provides links to Updates Publisher help topics and displays newer versions of software updates catalogs that are in the update list. The start page appears in the center area of the publishing tool console when the System Center Updates Publisher console tree node is selected.
  • Console Tree Pane
    Displays the System Center Updates Publisher, <vendor name>, and <product name> nodes used for global and specific actions and appears on the left side of the Updates Publisher console.
  • Results Pane
    Displays information associated with the item selected in the console tree pane and appears in the upper center area of the Updates Publisher console.
  • Properties Pane
    Displays read-only information about the software update selected in the results pane and appears in the lower center area of the Updates Publisher console.
  • Action Pane
    Displays all of the available actions and appears on the right side of the Updates Publisher console.
  • Search Filter
    Provides the ability to limit the number of software update attributes displayed in the results pane. The search filter appears above the results pane in the upper center area of the Updates Publisher console.
