Patch Installed for Product Rule
The Patch Installed For Product MSI rule in System Center Updates Publisher is used when creating or modifying software update definitions. It is used primarily as a prerequisite type rule. The specified MSI, or Windows Installer, information about the software update is verified with what is found on a scanned computer. If the rule does not pass verification, the software update is considered not needed on the computer. The Patch Installed for Product rule has the following configuration settings:
Patch Code: Specifies the GUID for a software update created to update a specific product. This is a required field.
Product Code: Specifies the GUID for a specific product release. This is a required field.
Maximum Version: Specifies the maximum version for the Windows Installer file. This is an optional field.
Minimum Version: Specifies the minimum version for the Windows Installer file. This is an optional field.
Language: Specifies the language for the file. This is an optional field.
