Printer.RightToLeft Property
Gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates the text display direction on a right-to-left system.
Namespace: Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Printing.Compatibility.VB6
Assembly: Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs (in Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Property RightToLeft As Boolean
'Usage
Dim instance As Printer
Dim value As Boolean
value = instance.RightToLeft
instance.RightToLeft = value
public bool RightToLeft { get; set; }
public:
property bool RightToLeft {
bool get ();
void set (bool value);
}
public function get RightToLeft () : boolean
public function set RightToLeft (value : boolean)
Property Value
Type: System.Boolean
Returns a Boolean.
Remarks
When the return value is true, the Printer object is running on a right-to-left operating system, such as Arabic Windows or Hebrew Windows. Text is running from right to left.
When the return value is false, the Printer object is running on a left-to-right operating system, such as English Windows, and text is running from left to right. If the container does not implement this ambient property, this is the default value.
Note
Functions and objects in the Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Printing.Compatibility.VB6 namespace are provided for use by the tools for upgrading from Visual Basic 6.0 to Visual Basic 2008. In most cases, these functions and objects duplicate functionality that you can find in other namespaces in the .NET Framework. They are necessary only when the Visual Basic 6.0 code model differs significantly from the .NET Framework implementation.
Examples
The following example demonstrates how to retrieve the RightToLeft property value.
Dim Printer As New Printer
If Printer.RightToLeft = True Then
Printer.Print("Printing from right to left.")
Else
Printer.Print("Printing from left to right.")
End If
Printer.EndDoc()
