Version Property (Windows Installer)
Specifies the version number of an installer, merge module, or .cab file.
Remarks
The Version property should be changed for each released version of your installer, merge module, or .cab file. When the Version property is changed, you should also update the ProductCode property. The Version property must follow this format: ##.##.####.
Note
Do not confuse this property with Version Property (Launch Conditions).
