How to Change the CSS Service Account

This topic provides steps for changing the Commerce Server Staging (CSS) service account. By default, CSS uses the account that you specified during the Commerce Server 2009 Configuration Wizard to run the service.

To change the CSS service account

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Services.

  2. In the Services console, double-click Commerce Server Staging.

  3. In the Commerce Server Staging Properties dialog box, on the Log On tab, specify a different account for running the CSS service, enter and confirm the password, and then click OK.

  4. In the Services console, right-click Commerce Server Staging, and then click Restart.
