How to Change the Server Roles for a Business Data Project

This topic provides steps for changing the server role in a business data project. You can designate a server in a business data project as a source or destination server, or both.

To change the server role for a business data project

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and the click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In Microsoft Management Console (MMC), in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, expand <server name>, and then click Projects.

  3. In the right pane, right-click the project that you want to change, and then click Properties.

  4. In the Project Properties dialog box, on the Project tab, in the Roles section, do the following:

    Source

    Select this option to designate the server as a source of the business data project.

    Destination

    Select this option to designate the server as a destination for the business data project.

  5. Click OK.
