Install Visual Studio

This topic contains the steps that you must follow to install Visual Studio 2008 or Visual Studio 2005. All Visual Studio 2008 product editions are compatible with Commerce Server 2007.

To install Visual Studio

  1. Insert the Visual Studio CD in the CD drive. If the CD does not start automatically, double-click Autorun.exe in the root directory of the CD.

  2. On the Visual Studio Setup splash screen, click Install Visual Studio 2008.

  3. After the setup files have loaded, click Next.

  4. Select the option I accept the terms of the License Agreement, type the product key and your name, and then click Next.

  5. Under the Features to Install list, click Custom, and then click Next.

  6. Under the Select Feature to Install list, click Install. Click Finish when setup is complete.
