Project Properties, Project Tab
Use the Project Properties dialog box, Project tab, to modify individual properties of a staging project, such as the source directory or destination server(s). There are two versions of the Project tab:
Web Content and IIS Metabase Projects
Business Data Projects
Web Content and IIS Metabase Projects
Use this |

Project directory |
Type the path of the source directory for Content Projects or click Browse to select a directory. |
Metabase deployment |
Select the Metabase deployment option button to create a metabase deployment project. Click Advanced to open the IIS Metabase Deployment dialog box. This lets you specify a different Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Web site that contains the metabase settings that you want to stage. |
Add |
Select to add a new destination server. The Add Destination Server dialog box opens. |
Remove |
Select an entry from the Destinations list and then click Remove to delete the selected destination server. |
Edit |
Select an entry from the Destinations list and then click Edit to modify the selected destination server. The Edit Project Destination Properties dialog box opens. |
Notes |
Type any notes that you want to preserve about the project. |
Business Data Projects

Roles |
Source - Select to designate the server as a source of the business data project. Check this box for source staging server and same box replication configurations. Destination - Select to designate the server as a destination for the business data project. Check this box for endpoint and same box replication configurations.
Note:
Leave Source and Destination unchecked for waypoint configurations.

Source Site |
Type the name of the Commerce Server 2009 site associated with the business data that you want to stage, for example CSharpSite. This property setting is applicable only for the source staging server. |
Project Local Directory |
Type the path of the project local directory or click Browse and move to the directory. This property setting is applicable for all servers in the staging topology. Enter a valid path. Commerce Server Staging does not support a drive as the source directory. |
Add |
Select to add a new destination server. The Add Destination Server dialog box opens. |
Remove |
Select an entry from the Destinations list and then click Remove to delete the selected destination server. |
Edit |
Select an entry from the Destinations list and then click Edit to modify the selected destination server. The Edit Project Destination Properties dialog box opens. |
Notes |
Type any notes that you want to preserve about the project. |
