Step 8. Placing a Multiple Shipment Order
When you have more than one line item in your basket, and you are shipping products to two or more different addresses, you can place a multiple shipment order (that is, an order where different products get shipped to different addresses). In this example, the first requirement, that you have more than one line item in your basket, has been met. However, you need to create a new shipping address for the user, John Doe.
On the Checkout.aspx page, notice that the Shipping Address drop-down list contains only one address: Primary. You can create a new shipping/billing address, or edit an existing one.
To create a new shipping/billing address
On the Checkout.aspx page, click New, and then do the following:

The message "Your information has been successfully saved" appears.
To return to checkout, click the Shopping Cart link, and then click Checkout again.
On the Checkout.aspx page, confirm that the new address was created in the Shipping Address drop-down list. Verify that the Home address exists (select the address and its details appear below the drop-down list).
To submit a multiple shipment order, click Multiple Shipments at the bottom of the page.
The MultipleShiptoSelect.aspx page is displayed. Each line item in your cart now has a shipping address and shipping option control that can be modified.
Select the Ship to Address for the Petzl Spirit.
If multiple shipping options exist, you can select a different shipping option.
Change the delivery address of this product to the Home address you just created. After you select the Home address, the page automatically updates the address information that appears below the address drop-down box. Verify that the correct address appears.
Click Continue.
The Checkout.aspx page shows two shipments: Order Shipment 1 and Order Shipment 2. The first shipment, consisting of the Scoutpride cooking set, is going to the Primary Address. The second shipment, which contains the Petzl Spirit carbiner, is going to a different address.
Continue to the next step to select a payment method.
To use the credit card created earlier, click Change.
On the PaymentSelect.aspx page, select the Visa card ending in the digits 1111, and then click Continue.
There are now two orders. The payment option has been updated to reflect the credit card you selected, and the Complete Purchase button is enabled.
Click Complete Purchase.
The **Receipt.aspx****page is displayed, providing a summary for order number 1001.
