IsProtocolSelected Method of the IFPCSnapinPluginPolicy Interface

The IsProtocolSelected method verifies that the policy rule of the node applies to the specified protocol. The IsProtocolSelected method cannot be used in Visual Basic.

Syntax

HRESULT IsProtocolSelected(
  [in]  BSTR bstrProtocolGuid
);

Parameters

  • bstrProtocolGuid
    String containing the globally unique identifier (GUID) of the protocol to check in the form {12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789ABC}. Note the presence of the braces normally used with GUIDs.

Return Value

This method can return one of the following:

  • S_OK (0x00000000), indicating that the policy rule of the node applies to the specified protocol.
  • S_FALSE (0x00000001), indicating that the policy rule of the node does not apply to the specified protocol.
  • An error code with the severity bit set to 1, indicating that the operation failed.

Client Requires Windows 7 or Windows Vista.
Server Requires Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2008 x64 Edition with SP2.
Version Requires Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010.
