  • Enterprise Management Server (EMS)
    A Forefront TMG computer that can store the configurations of multiple arrays and the enterprise-level configuration settings in an enterprise and can be used to centrally manage the arrays. An EMS is a Configuration Storage server and stores the configurations using Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS), the ISASTGCTRL service, and the Microsoft Forefront TMG Storage (ISASTG) service. An enterprise can have a primary EMS and a replica, or alternate, EMS.
