The SetPrimaryGateway method sets the primary default gateway of the network adapter.

HRESULT SetPrimaryGateway(
  [in]  BSTR newVal
);

Parameters

  • newVal
    Required. BSTR that specifies the primary default gateway to set for the network adapter.

Return Value

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

Parameters

  • newVal
    Required. String that specifies the primary default gateway to set for the network adapter.

Return Value

This method has no return values. If the call is unsuccessful, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.

Remarks

The current primary default gateway of the network adapter can be retrieved by calling the GetPrimaryGateway method.
