Encryption
Depending on the business scenarios, we recommend CCF Integrated desktop to communicate across a network in a way designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, and message forgery.
CCF supports three encryption modes:
- Transport level encryption - IPSEC. For more information about configuring IPSEC, see the TechNet article.
- Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). For more information about configuring SSL, see Configuring CCF for Secure Communications.
- For security purposes, it is recommended that you use SSL for the CCF Configuration service (Configuration.svc and Credentials Web Services)
- Message based encryption.
Note
When leveraging CCF services through DCS, CCF allows to use WS-Security and WS-Secure Conversation.
