Parameters

  • methodname
    A string that specifies the SOAP method.
  • obj
    An object that represents the body of the SOAP message.
  • callback
    An System.AsyncCallback that represents the callback method.
  • state
    An object that can be used to access state information of the asynchronous operation.

Return Value

The System.IAsyncResult that identifies the asynchronous request.

Remarks

If the specified method name is a valid SOAP method then the SOAP action is the value of the SoapAction property. Otherwise the method name becomes the SOAP action.

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
