Entropy Constructor (Byte[])

Initializes a new instance of the Entropy class with the specified entropy value.

Parameters

  • secret
    An array of type System.Byte that contains the entropy value.

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
System.ArgumentNullException

secret is null.

secret is zero length.

Remarks

This constructor sets the value of the BinarySecret property to a BinarySecret that contains the specified entropy value.

When the Entropy class is serialized into XML, the entropy value is placed in a <BinarySecret> child element, but the value is not encrypted.
