Parameters

  • methodName
    The type of security token request.

Return Value

A RequestSecurityTokenResponse that contains the details of the response to the security token request.

Remarks

The RequestSecurityToken method is used by SOAP message senders to obtain a security token from a security token service. The received token is used to communicate with a target Web service.

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
