MessageSignature.OwnerElement Property

Sets the XmlElement that owns the element being signed.

Property Value

The XmlElement that owns the element being signed.

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
ArgumentNullException

OwnerElement is null.

Remarks

Only the Timestamp element that belongs to the WS-Security header is signed if the SignatureOptions.IncludeTimestamp enumeration is selected. Setting the OwnerElement property to the WS-Security header XML element ensures that the correct Timestamp is signed.

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
