BinarySecurityToken.EncodingType Property

Gets or sets the XML encoding type of the security token.

Property Value

The XML encoding type of the security token.

Exceptions

Exception type Condition
ArgumentNullException

EncodingType is set to null.

SecurityFormatException

EncodingType is set to a value other than Base64Encoding.

Remarks

The EncodingType represents an XML attribute that names the way the binary data (stored in the RawData property) in the token is encoded into an XML string.

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
