InkAnalyzer.DeleteAnalysisHint Method

Removes an AnalysisHintNode from the ink analyzer.

Namespace:  Microsoft.Ink
Assembly:  Microsoft.Ink.Analysis (in Microsoft.Ink.Analysis.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Sub DeleteAnalysisHint ( _
    hintToDelete As AnalysisHintNode _
)
'Usage
Dim instance As InkAnalyzer
Dim hintToDelete As AnalysisHintNode

instance.DeleteAnalysisHint(hintToDelete)
public void DeleteAnalysisHint(
    AnalysisHintNode hintToDelete
)
public:
void DeleteAnalysisHint(
    AnalysisHintNode^ hintToDelete
)
public function DeleteAnalysisHint(
    hintToDelete : AnalysisHintNode
)

Parameters

Remarks

Removing an analysis hint does not mark the hint's area for reanalysis. To mark the area within the hint for reanalysis, call the DirtyRegion object's Union method with the hint's Location.

The hint is removed from the analyzer; however, the AnalysisHintNode itself is not deleted.

Examples

This example removes an AnalysisHintNode, theAnalysisHint, from the InkAnalyzer, theInkAnalyzer, and then releases the reference to the hint.

' Remove the analysis hint from theInkAnalyzer.
Me.theInkAnalyzer.DeleteAnalysisHint(theAnalysisHint)

' Release this reference to the hint.
theAnalysisHint = Nothing
// Remove the analysis hint from theInkAnalyzer.
this.theInkAnalyzer.DeleteAnalysisHint(theAnalysisHint);

// Release this reference to the hint.
theAnalysisHint = null;
