InkWordNode.GetDescender Method

Returns the descender line for an InkWordNode object.

Type: System.Windows.Media.PointCollection
Returns the descender line for an InkWordNode object.

Remarks

For western languages, the descender is the portion of a lowercase letter that falls below the baseline, such as the vertical line of the letter "p" that extends below the lowest point of the circle in that letter. The descender line is the imaginary horizontal line that runs along the bottom of the descenders.

Examples

The following example uses a Polyline to draw the descender line for an InkWordNode, inkWord, on an InkCanvas, theInkCanvas.

Dim descenderLine As New Polyline()

descenderLine.Points = inkWord.GetDescender()
descenderLine.Stroke = Brushes.Yellow

theInkCanvas.Children.Add(descenderLine)
Polyline descenderLine = new Polyline();

descenderLine.Points = inkWord.GetDescender();
