Send an instant message in Desktop Viewer

In Desktop Viewer, you can initiate an instant message exchange with a co-worker while you view a report. To use this feature, you must have Microsoft Lync 2010 SDK installed on your computer.

Send an instant message

  1. Open a report in Desktop Viewer.

  2. Right-click in a cell in the report, and select Send an Instant Message to open the Microsoft Lync instant message dialog box.
