Description Field, Gen. Journal Line Table
Specifies a description of the entry.
The program automatically retrieves the description when the Account No. field is filled in.
If the journal is a recurring journal, you can choose to let the description be updated automatically every time the journal is posted. (You can also choose to enter a fixed text that is used every time the journal is updated.)
To have the program update the description automatically, enter a code that represents the number the program will insert. You can choose from among the following codes:

You can use the codes as shown in the following example:
If the entry's description will be "Rent + current month," enter "Rent %3" in the field.
