Service Entity Type Field, Service Tax Registration Nos. Table
Specifies the category of service provider or service receiver that the service tax registration number applies to.
Service tax must be reported differently, depending on the nature of the service, and on the type of the provider of the service and the receiver. For example, if the service is advocate services, the service provider is an individual advocate, and the service receiver is a business entity, the service tax must be paid by the service receiver. In other cases, the service tax must be paid by the service provider, or the service tax must be shared between the service provider and the service receiver.
