Remarks
DDE is a form of inter-process communication that can be used to exchange data between applications. Microsoft Dynamics AX supports only the text data format (CF_TEXT) and DDE one-time data transfers (that is, Microsoft Dynamics AX does not support advise links).
The DDEServer class is turned off by default. For more information, see APIs Turned Off by Default. To grant access to this API, you must enable the Dynamic Data Exchange API configuration key (SysAPIDDE).
There is no need to derive new classes from this class. It is used as a DDE handler for various DDE server operations.
The DDEServer class initializes Microsoft Dynamics AX as a server in the DDE system in MicrosoftWindows. The name of the server is specified in the constructor. Only one instance of the server can exist at a time. Additional attempts to create a DDEServer instance results in an exception.
