FormComboBoxControl.hideFirstEntry Method

Sets or returns a value that indicates whether the first entry in the combo box control is hidden.

Syntax

public boolean hideFirstEntry([boolean value])

    Type: boolean
    A value that indicates whether the first entry in the combo box control is hidden; optional.

Return Value

Type: boolean
true if the first entry in the combo box control is hidden; otherwise, false.

Remarks

By hiding the first entry in the combo box control, you enable the control to emulate the behavior of an enum database field where the Mandatory property is set to Yes.

The following example shows how to return and set the value that indicates whether the first entry in the combo box control is hidden.

boolean bHideFirstEntry; 
 
// The ctrl variable was previously assigned

// Retrieve the hideFirstEntry value.
