Absence registration (form)

Click Home > Common > Absences > Register absences.
Use this form to register a past absence for a worker.
Note
You must have an absence journal already created for the current absence period before you can register a past absence. For more information, see Create absence journals.

Navigating the form
The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Transfer |
Send a completed journal to the approver. |
Create series |
Open the Create series form, where you can enter information about a series of absences to register. |
Open |
Change the status of the absence registration to be open. When an absence registration is open, you can modify the information in the absence registration. |
Close |
Change the status of the absence registration to be closed. When an absence registration is close, you cannot modify the information in the absence registration. |
Fields

Worker |
The name of the worker. |
Start date |
The status of the absence registration. |
End date |
The first date of the period for which absences can be recorded. |
End date |
The last date of the period for which absences can be recorded. Note This field is empty if the worker’s absence setup does not require absence periods. For more information, see Absence setup (form). |
Date |
The date when the worker was absent. |
Absence code |
Select an absence code from the list. The absence code usually provides the reason for the absence. The information in this field is maintained in the following form: Absence codes (form) |
Description |
Enter additional information about the absence. |
Absence registration |
The identifier of the absence registration. |
Hours |
Enter the number of work hours that the employee was absent. Note This field is available only if the worker’s absence setup requires hourly absence tracking. For more information, see Absence setup (form). |
Note from registrar |
If you are registering your own absence, enter additional information about the absence. The absence approver cannot modify this information. |
Note from approver |
If you are the absence approver, enter information about the status of the absence registration for the worker to see. The worker whose absence is registered cannot modify the note. |
