Jobs (form)

Click Production control > Common > Production orders > All production orders. Select the production order, and then on the Action Pane, click All jobs.

Click Production control > Common > Production orders > Current production jobs. Select a production job, and then on the Action Pane, click All jobs.
Use this form to monitor the jobs in a production. Jobs are generated when you run job scheduling after operations scheduling on productions that use operations scheduling. Job scheduling is the detailed scheduling of capacity. It divides operations into their individual task times or jobs. You can use this division to increase the accuracy of the detailed schedule by monitoring the individual tasks.
Operations resources are also assigned to jobs through the job scheduling process. You can increase your control over jobs by establishing maximum capacities for each operations resource per job order. You can also control jobs by monitoring the type of job that is performed.
Navigating the form
The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Scheduling |
View or reschedule times and dates if necessary. If the Locked check box is selected, the job cannot be rescheduled or moved when a new job scheduling process is run. Note You can use Locked to prevent rescheduling, such as when an express item has a high requirement and a fixed delivery time. |
Feedback |
Check the selected line to compare the quantity of good items to the error quantity for the selected job. |

Priority |
The priority for the production route. The priority can be primary or secondary. |
Task type |
The task type assigned to the operation. The task type can be one of the following:

Resource |
The resource or resource group that is assigned to the job. This is selected from the operations resource defined on the production route. For more information, see Production route (form). |
Job status |
The job status. The field can have one of the following values:

Start date |
The date that the job is scheduled to start. The date is determined when you run operations scheduling or job scheduling. |
Start time |
The time that the job is scheduled to start. The time is determined when you run job scheduling. |
End date |
The date that the job is scheduled to end. The date is determined when you run operations scheduling or job scheduling. |
End time |
The time that the job is scheduled to end. The time is determined when you run job scheduling. |
Production |
The production order the job is attached to. For more information, see Production orders (form). |
Link |
The link that the job was created with. A link tells how the current job is tied to the next job. The following options are available:
Note Times are the same when Hard is selected in the Link type field. When the link type is Soft, there may be a time gap between the two jobs. The next job can start later than the link specifies. Possible combinations of link type and link include the following:

Link type |
The type of link. The link type indicates whether the connection between jobs is flexible. The field can have the following values:

Job identification |
The unique identifier for the job. |
Property |
The operations resource property that is required for the execution of the job on this resource. Leave this field blank to indicate that the job requires no special properties of the operations resource. |
Job management |
A selected check box indicates that records can be made for the job through updates. |
Hourly rate / piecework rate |
The pay type on jobs that delimit this item. |
Canceled |
A selected check box indicates that the job was canceled. |
Locked |
A selected check box indicates that the job cannot be rescheduled. Therefore, the job cannot be moved when a new job scheduling or job planning is performed. Locking a job for rescheduling is useful, for example, when you have express items that have high requirements on fixed delivery times. |
Calculated time |
The number of hours that have been calculated for the job. |
Resource time |
The number of hours that have been planned for the operations resource. |
Processing percentage |
The progress of the production, expressed as a percentage. The field is updated every time that the job is updated, or the route journal or job journal is posted to the ledger. |
End date |
The date that the job is scheduled to end. The date is determined when you run operations scheduling or job scheduling. |
End time |
The time that the job is scheduled to end. The time is determined when you run job scheduling. |
Actual start date |
The date when the job started. The system enters the start date when the job is updated for the first time. Updates occur when the route journal or job journal is posted to the ledger. If you set up the system to use route consumption automatically, updates can also occur when a production is started or reported as finished. Actual end date |
The date when the job ended. This field is updated when the job is reported as finished. Jobs can be finished when the route journal or job journal is posted to the ledger. |
Actual start time |
The actual start time for the job. The start time is first updated when a job is updated. Updates can occur when the route journal or job journal is posted to the ledger. If you set up the system to use route consumption automatically, updates can also occur when a production is started or reported as finished. |
Actual end time |
The time that the job ended. The actual end time is updated when the job is reported as finished. Jobs can be finished when the route journal or job journal is posted to the ledger. |
