Use this form to create period allocation keys for budgeting and for sales orders.

  • In the Budget register entries form, you can select a period allocation key for each budget account entry and generate the appropriate entries for each period.

  • In the Budget plan form, you can select a period allocation key for each budget plan line and generate allocations for budget plan scenarios.

This option is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

  • In the Master planning form, you can set up period allocation keys to automatically explode sales orders in a period. For example, a period allocation key can distribute an order of 1,000 units over 30 days with a period percentage of 25 percent per week.
