Register absences for multiple workers (form)

Click Home > Common > Absences > Register absences for multiple workers.
Use this form to enter absence information for workers who you are the absence administrator for.
Note
You must create absence journals before you can register absence transactions. For more information, see Create absence journals.

Navigating the form
The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.
Buttons

Description |

Transfer |
Send a completed journal to the absence administrator for approval. |
Create series |
Register a sequential group of absences that use the same absence code and description for a specified date range. |
Open |
Open the selected absence registration. Open absence registrations must be closed before you can transfer an absence journal for approval. Typically, you indicate that an absence is open when you do not know the ending date of the absence. |
Close |
Close the selected absence transaction. |
Fields
Field |
Description |

Absence setup |
The absence setup that is associated with the worker. For more information, see Key task: Set up absence information. |
Worker |
The name of the worker who is registering an absence. |
Status |
The status of the absence journal. |
Start date |
The first date of the period that absences can be recorded for. |
End date |
The last date of the period that absences can be recorded for. This field is blank if No period is selected in the Unit box in the absence setup that is assigned to the employee. This means that absences are not recorded on a fixed period basis. |
Absence registration |
The identification code for the absence record. |
Date |
The absence date. |
Absence code |
The absence code that is assigned to the absence registration. The absence code usually provides the reason for the absence. |
Note from registrar |
Additional information about the absence registrations in the absence journal that are entered by the person who is registering the absence for the worker. The absence administrator cannot modify this note. |
Note from approver |
Additional information provided by the absence administrator. For example, the absence administrator can enter the reason why they rejected an absence registration for a worker. |
