Released product details (form) (Retail)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack

Click Product information management > Common > Released products. On the Action Pane, in the Maintain group, click Edit.

Use this form to view and maintain products and product masters of the Item or Service type that have been released to the current company. For retail products, you must release the product before it can be made available in a retail channel.

Configure

Open the Configure kit form to set prices and other options for each product kit configuration. You can also generate assembly orders for the product kits.

Note

This control is available only if Retail in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Info codes

Assign and configure information codes for the product.

Shelf label

Select the shelf label report that is used to print the shelf label for the product.

Product label

Select the product label report that is used to print the product label.

Linked products

Link another product to the product. The linked product is sold together with the original product at the point of sale.

Where-linked products setup

Set up the product so that you can view all products that are linked to it.

Product section location setup

Define details for the physical storage location or display location of a product, such as the store number, section number, and shelf number.

Print specific shelf label

Print the shelf label for the product.

In AX 2012 R3 with Retail: Open the Print shelf labels form to generate shelf labels for selected released products. You can select one or more products and specify the label quantity that you want to generate. You can print the labels after they are generated.

Mandatory check setup

Specify the product fields that are verified to make sure that the product is set up correctly.

Check product

Validate the setup of the product.

Buyer's push

Add the product to the Buyer's push form.

Competitor prices

View competitor prices for the product.

Sales transactions

View sales transactions that include the product.

Discounts

View discounts that are set up for the product.

Pricing

View the price list for the product.

Fields

Field

Description

Size group

The size variant group that is assigned to the product. This field applies only to products that have variants.

Color group

The color variant group that is assigned to the product. This field applies only to products that have variants.

Style group

The style variant group that is assigned to the product. This field applies only to products that have variants.

Print variants shelf labels

Select this check box to print one shelf label per variant. For example, if a product is available in two colors and two sizes, you print four labels, one for each combination. Clear this check box to print one label for the product, regardless of variants.

Base comparison unit

Select a base comparison unit, such as ounces.

Comparison price

The comparison price of the product. This value is calculated automatically, based on the base comparison unit and the unit conversion.

Blocked at register

Select this check box to prevent the product from being sold at the register.

Date blocked

The date that the product was blocked.

Date to be blocked

Enter the date that sale of the product becomes blocked.

Bar code setup

The bar code setup that is used to assign a bar code to the product.

Bar code

The bar code for the product.

Issue date

The date that a blocked product becomes available for sale.

Season

Select the season that is assigned to the product.

Valid from

The start date of the selected season.

Valid to

The end date of the selected season.

Scale product

Select this check box if the product is measured on a weighing scale at the register before a sale. The unit of measure for weight must be set up as a weight type of Measure.

Key in price

Select how the price of the product is keyed in at a register.

Key in quantity

Select whether a product quantity must be entered at the register during a transaction.

Must key in comment

Select this check box to require that the cashier enter a comment at the register. A reminder is displayed at the register.

Zero price valid

Select this check box if the sales price of the product can be 0 (zero) at the register.

Quantity becomes negative

Select this check box to display a negative line item at the register.

No discount allowed

Select this check box to indicate that a sales invoice that contains this product cannot receive an invoice discount at the point of sale.
