Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
This topic applies to features in the Inventory management module. It does not apply to features in the Warehouse management module.
Click Inventory management > Common > Shipments. Click Show lines.
Use this form to display the inventory orders that form the basis for the shipment.
Until the shipment has actually been sent, you can manually add shipment lines. A parameter on the Shipment templates (form) controls how late in the process that shipment lines can be added automatically.
A shipment line can be deleted as long as it has not yet been picked.
When shipments are Reserved, the transactions are updated so that they mirror the reserved items.
In connection with picking, the transactions are updated so that they mirror the picked items.

Add |
Use this function to add orders to the shipment. Orders can be added right until the shipment has been sent. Output orders in a shipment can ship from different warehouses. However the warehouses can only be from the same site. The lines that are added might not correspond to the shipment reservation sequence. For example, if you add a line with a warehouse which is not part of the shipment reservation, no route will be created for that line. When running the reservation a message to that effect will be displayed. |
