Validate catalog (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Click Retail > Common > Catalogs > Catalogs. Select a catalog, and then, on the Action Pane, click Validate catalog.

Use this form to validate a catalog before publishing it to the online store. The validation process verifies that any required attribute data for channel and product attributes is complete and valid. This process also validates that the online stores that are assigned to the catalog are in a published status.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Button

Button	Description
Validate catalog	Run the validation process to validate the catalog. You can run this process as often as necessary.

Fields

Field	Description
Last validation date	The date that the validation process was last run for the catalog.
Channel name	The name of the online store for which validation errors or warnings were found.
Channel	Select the online store that is assigned to the catalog to view any errors or warnings that are found by the validation process.
Product number	The product number for the catalog product that has a validation error or warning.
Product	The name of the catalog product that has a validation error or warning.
Errors	The number of errors that were found for the product by the validation process. Note Catalogs that have errors cannot be published to the online store.
Warnings	The number of warnings that were found for the product by the validation process. Note Products that have warnings cannot be published to the online store.
Description	The detailed description of the error or warning that was found for the product. Select the product in the Product summary grid to view the error and warning message details for that product.
