How to: Create Excise Entries Using Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, and Transfer Orders

You can create excise entries using sales orders, purchase orders, or transfer orders. General ledger accounts, items, item charges, and fixed assets are linked to excise business posting groups of customers or vendors. They are linked to excise product posting groups from items or fixed assets. For more information, see How to: Map an Excise Business Posting Group to a Vendor and How to: Map an Excise Product Posting Group to an Item. When a transaction is posted in a sales order or purchase order that is linked to excise business posting groups or excise product posting groups, an excise entry is automatically generated if excise setup has been completed. For more information, see How to: Set Up Excise Tax for India.
