How to: Set Up Price Inclusive of Tax

To calculate the assessable value of an invoice or bill using Price Inclusive of Tax (PIT), you must set up the following:

• The structure. For more information, see Structure Header Table.

• The sales price and the sales line. For more information, see Sales Price Table, Sales Prices Window, and Sales Line Table.

• The item card. For more information, see Item Table, and Item Card Window.

To set up the structure for price inclusive of tax

1. In the Search box, enter Structure, and then choose the related link.

2. Select the required structure, on the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit.

3. On the Structure Details FastTab, select the Include PIT Calculation check box.

   The taxes are now included in the price.

4. Choose OK.

To set up the sales price for price inclusive of tax

1. In the Search box, enter Customers, and then choose the related link.

2. Select the required customer, and on the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit.

3. On the Navigate tab, in the Sales group, choose Prices.

4. In the General section, fill in the required fields as described in the following table.

   Field	Description
   Sales Type Filter	The sales type filter.
   Sales Code Filter	The sales code filter. This value is retrieved from the Customer List window. For more information, see Customer Table.
   Item No. Filter	The item number filter. This value is retrieved from the Item List window. For more information, see Item Table.
   Starting DateFilter	The starting date for the sales price.
   Currency CodeFilter	The currency code filter. This value is retrieved from the Currencies window. For more information, see Currencies Window.
   Minimum Quantity	The minimum number of units.
   Unit Price	The sales price per unit. If the Currency Code field is blank, then the sales price is in the Local Currency (LCY).
   PIT Structure	The structure for price inclusive of tax.
   Price Inclusive of Tax	Select to indicate that the item price includes taxes.

   Note

   If the Price Inclusive of Tax check box is selected in the Sales Price table, then the Price Inclusive of Tax check box and the structure details on the Lines FastTab of the sales order or sales invoice are automatically selected. For more information, see Sales Price Table.

5. Choose OK.

To set up an item for price inclusive of tax

1. In the Search box, enter Items, and then choose the related link.

2. Select the required item, and on the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit.

3. On the Invoicing FastTab, in the Unit Price field, enter the price including all taxes.

   Note

   After you enter the unit price in the Unit Price field on the Invoicing FastTab, the same value is populated in the Unit Price field on the Tax Information FastTab.

4. On the Tax Information FastTab, fill in the fields as described in the following table.

   Field	Description
   PIT Structure	The structure for price inclusive of tax.
   Price Inclusive of Tax	Select to indicate that the item price includes taxes.

5. Choose OK.
