Specifies tax-detail entries. A tax-detail entry includes all of the information that is used to calculate the amount of tax to be charged. Each entry represents a combination of a tax jurisdiction, tax group, tax type (sales or excise), and the date the entry goes into effect.
Example
If a business sells medical supplies in Georgia, a tax-detail entry for this business could include the following:
Tax Jurisdiction Code GEORGIA
Tax Group Code MEDICAL
Tax Type Sales Tax
Effective Date 01/01/01
You can also specify minimum and maximum quantities and dollar amounts to determine the way tax is calculated.
Important
You must set up tax jurisdictions and groups before you set up tax-detail entries.
