How to: Calculate Excise Tax for Maximum Retail Price Using Transfer Orders
You can calculate excise tax for Maximum Retail Price (MRP) using transfer orders. Transfer orders are used when you want to make a transfer between two different locations.
To calculate excise tax for maximum retail price using transfer orders
In the Search box, enter Transfer Orders, and then choose the related link.
On the Home tab, choose New.
On the General FastTab, fill in the required fields as described in the following table.
Field Description No.
The transfer order number.
Transfer-from Code
The code for the location from which the items are transferred.
Transfer-to Code
The code for the location to which the items are transferred.
In-Transit Code
The in-transit code that identifies the transfer.
Structure
The structure for the excise tax to be attached to the transfer order. For more information, see Structure Header Table and How to: Set Up Tax or Charge Groups and Structures.
On the Lines FastTab, fill in the required fields as described in the following table.
Field Description Item No.
The item number that has the MRP price, abatement percentage, and applicability of MRP in the ECC No./Item Categories window. For more information, see ECC No./Item Categories Window.
Quantity
The number of units.
Transfer Price
The price for the transfer. This field is automatically populated when you enter a value in the Item No. field.
Amount
The amount for the transfer. This field is automatically calculated when you enter a value in the Quantity field.
On the Actions tab, in the Posting group, choose Post.
In the dialog box, select one of the following options:
Ship
Receive
Choose OK.
