How to: Set Up Rounding Options

You must define the rounding type as one of the prerequisites to calculate Tax Collected at Source (TCS) or Tax Deducted at Source (TDS). For more information, see How to: Set Up Tax Collected at Source or How to: Set Up Tax Deducted at Source.

The following procedure describes how to set up rounding types for TCS, but the same steps also apply to setting up rounding types for TDS.

To round amounts for tax collected at source

  1. In the Search box, enter General Ledger Setup, and then choose the related link.

  2. On the Tax Information FastTab, in the TCS section, fill in the fields as described in the following table.

    Field Description

    TCS Rounding Precision

    The size of the interval used for rounding TCS amounts in the local currency. You can also specify TCS rounding for each currency in the Currency table. For more information, see Currency Table.

    TCS Rounding Type

    The rounding option used to round the TCS amounts.

  3. Choose the OK button.
