Customer No. length Field, Sales & Receivables Setup Table

Iindicates the number of digits that are used for specifying the customer no. in the KID number, if customer numbers are to be used in the KID number.

You specify the number of digits you want to use. Notice that Microsoft Dynamics NAV can use up to 20 digits in a customer number, but if you decide to use fewer, you can specify the number you want to use.

Note

Only digits are allowed in KID numbers. It is not possible to use alphanumeric characters, for instance. You should consider this when setting up the number series to be used on documents.

The format of the KID number is specified in the field KID Setup. Be aware that the customer number is not a mandatory part of the KID number. The format of the KID number determines this.
