Synchronization Scheme
These are the synchronization settings made from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV. In this scheme, you define the Microsoft Dynamics NAV tables and the fields of these tables that are to be synchronized, and which Outlook items and collections they will be synchronized with. A synchronization scheme is a document that defines how Microsoft Dynamics NAV records and Outlook items are correlated. It is generated by Microsoft Dynamics NAV in the beginning of the synchronization process for the Outlook client.
The synchronization scheme is created in Microsoft Dynamics NAV to specify the following:
Microsoft Dynamics NAV tables to be synchronized.
Outlook objects to be synchronized with.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV fields that participate in the process and their corresponding Outlook properties.
The local copy of the current synchronization schema is kept on the Outlook side in the isolated store in XML-format – precisely as it has been received from Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
