Fix Exchange Rate Amount Field, Currency Exchange Rate Table
Specifies if the currency's exchange rate can be changed on invoices and journal lines. (The program automatically fills in the relevant exchange rate on invoices and journal lines using the contents of the Currency Code and Posting Date fields from the invoice or journal line and the information from the Currency Exchange Rates window.)
If the currency's exchange rate can be changed on invoices and journal lines, the option you select here also determines how you enter these changes using the Change Exchange Rate window.
Select one of the following options:
Option | Result |
---|---|
Currency |
The currency specified in the Currency Code field is fixed. On invoices and journal lines, you can change the amounts in the Relational Exchange Rate Amount field in the Change Exchange Rate window. |
Relational Currency |
The currency specified in the Relational Currency Code field is fixed. On invoices and journal lines, you can change the amounts in the Exchange Rate Amount field in the Change Exchange Rate window. |
Both |
With this option, the exchange rate for this currency cannot be changed in the Change Exchange Rate window. Select this option if you register an exchange rate between the euro and one of the old national currencies (for EMU countries/regions) because these exchange rates are fixed. |
