Search Description Field, Routing Header Table

Specifies a search description.

You can use the search description to search for a particular routing when you cannot remember the routing number. It is often easier to remember that the description of the routing (which will often be the search description) is Wall Shelves, blue, for example.

You can enter the search description in routing number fields on journal lines or production order lines, and the program will find the correct routing number.

When you enter something in the Description field and press ENTER, the program copies the contents to the Search Description field.

The contents of the Search Description field do not need to be the same as those of the Description field. You can also enter a search description manually. You can enter a maximum of 30 numbers or letters.

Important

Every time you change the contents of the Description field, the search description is also changed. To learn more about the search function, from the menu bar, click Edit, Search.

Tip

For more information on how to work with fields and columns, see Work with Data. For assistance in finding specific pages, see Search.
