Scrap Factor % Field, Routing Line Table

Specifies the scrap factor in percent. The program uses scrap percent in the product structure to increase gross requirements. It is also used to account for anticipated loss within the manufacture of a particular product.

The program copies the scrap factor % from the Scrap % field on the machine center card.

If it is necessary for this operation, you can edit this value.

Note

By default, a scrap factor placed explicitly on one operation in a routing will implicitly apply to all the preceding operations. If one or more of the operations do not warrant a scrap factor, for example, because test material is only necessary in the first operation, you must exclude these operations from the scrap factor by setting routing link codes to the production BOM items where no scrap is expected. This differentiation cannot be made to the first operation in a routing.
