Sales Price Worksheet Table

Specifies the unit price in the Unit Price field on the item card, but you may also need to set up some sales prices for items. You do this in the Sales Prices window, which you find by clicking Actions, Sales Prices on the item card.

You use the Sales Price Worksheet table to edit and update the sales prices. The program fills in this table when you run two batch jobs, which suggest unit prices based on:

• the prices in the Unit Price field on the item cards. To run the Suggest Item Price on Wksh. batch job, click Actions, Functions, Suggest Item Price on Wksh.. Then you can, for example, give a particular customer price group a unit price that is lower than the normal price. The price in the Unit Price field on the item card is not changed by this batch job.

• sales prices in the Unit Price field in the Sales Prices window. To run the Suggest Sales Price on Wksh. batch job, click Actions, Functions, Suggest Sales Price on Wksh. to change sales prices that have already been set up or to create new prices.

Both batch jobs end by displaying the newly calculated unit prices in the Sales Price Worksheet window, where you can change unit prices that are not satisfactory or delete lines you do not want. When you are satisfied with all the unit prices, click Actions, Functions, Implement Price Change to copy the new unit prices to the Sales Price table.

The Sales Price Worksheet table is different from most of the other tables in the program. The two most important differences are:

• The main function of this table is not to let you set something up, but to let you use the Suggest Item Price on Wksh. and the Suggest Sales Price on Wksh. batch jobs in order to change something that has been set up.

• The contents of the fields in this table are temporary until they are deleted or transferred to the Sales Price table.

Note

You can add or change the ending date when you update the sales prices.
