Routing Type Field, Requisition Line Table

Specifies in which order operations in the routing are performed.

Options

Option Description

Serial

Specifies that operations are performed consecutively.

When the production order routing is calculated, operations are ordered according to the value in the Operation No. field on the routing line.

Parallel

Specifies that two operations can be performed at the same time.

When the production order routing is calculated, operations are ordered according to the value in the Next Operation No. field on the routing line.

Example of Parallel Routing

After operation 10, the next sequential operation, 20, must not follow. Instead, operations 20 and 30 must follow in parallel. This is set up on a serial routing by entering 20|30 on the second routing line.
