Reserve Field, Service Line Table
Indicates whether a reservation can be made for items on the current line. This field is not applicable if the Type field is set to Resource, Cost, or G/L Account.
The options in this field are:

The program automatically fills in this field when you enter the item number in the No. field on the service line. |
If you select Optional in the Reserve field on the item card, the program copies the value from the Reserve field in the Service Header table. If you select Never or Always in the Reserve field on the item card, the program copies the value directly from the item card.
The program attempts to make an automatic reservation against inventory, purchase orders, and production orders in the order. The program displays a warning if there is not enough supply to reserve the full quantity.
You can make a manual reservation for the service line by running the corresponding function.
