Create Delivery Reminder Batch Job

This batch job creates delivery reminders for vendors with overdue deliveries.

The batch job uses information from the vendor card to determine the relevant terms for the reminder. The batch job uses the Delivery Reminder Term assigned to the vendor to determine the following for the reminder:

  • due date of the delivery reminder

  • whether to use any predefined text

The reminder terms can be broken down further into Delivery Reminder Level, which provide the flexibility of using different terms on delivery reminders depending on whether the reminder is the first, second or third notice to the vendor.

When you run the batch job, the Due Date Calculation field in the Delivery Reminder Level table determines when first and subsequent delivery reminders will be suggested.

The batch job checks open purchase orders to determine if any deliveries are overdue. If the batch job finds an overdue order line, it will insert one corresponding delivery reminder line.

You can define what is included in the batch job by setting filters.
