VAT-VIES Declaration Disk Batch Job

Reports the sales made to other European Union (EU) countries/regions to the customs and tax authorities. This batch job exports the information to a file, either ASCII or XML. The information is shown in the same format as in the declaration list from the customs and tax authorities.

VAT is calculated based on the following tables: Gen. Business Posting Group, Gen. Product Posting Group, and General Posting Setup.

The report is based on information in the VAT Entry table and the VAT VIES Correction table.

Options

Field Description

Declaration type

Specify the type of declaration that you want to export. Options include Month and Quarter.

Month or Quarter

Enter the month or quarter of the VAT declaration. If you selected Month in the Declaration Type field, you must enter a value between 1 and 12 (1 = January, 2 = February, 3 = March, and so on). If you selected Quarter, you must enter a value between 1 and 4 (1 = first quarter, 2 = second quarter, 3 = third quarter, 4 = fourth quarter).

Year

Enter the year of the VAT declaration. You should enter the year as a four digit code. For example, to print a declaration for 2013, enter "2013" instead of "13".

Test Declaration

Specify if you want to create a test declaration.

If selected, an attribute test is written to the file that uses value 1 to indicate that this is a Test file. If you want to test the XML file before you send it, you can upload this file to the Intervat site. The file will be validated without being stored on the server. You will receive a notification indicating whether the file is valid. The unique number sequence in the XML file is not increased when you create a test declaration so that you can create as many test statements internally as you want.

Add Representative

Specify if you want to include the VAT declaration representative in the export.

A representative is a person or an agency that has license to make a VAT declaration for your company.

ID

Enter the ID of the representative who is responsible for making the VAT declaration.
